The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it is alarmed regarding the large amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully sassa status check functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The company point developed for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for your office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to enable the servicing of all prospects and raise use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
